I've noticed a lessening of replies--would it help if I did a weekend catch-up post? I may try that tomorrow and see :) (ETA: Weekend post is added :)

Okay!! All I have left are bonuses, which I'll be doing gradually in their own posts, so I'm opening up a mini August meme. This (and early Sept.) should be my last crazy times--no more trips for several months after my very next trip--thank GOD.

Original fic prompts welcome, but nothing in the Ronan and Steel verse please. I'm trying to settle the arc there and would like to keep this post for "fun" rather than "work" writing :)
Tell me a story I haven’t written, and I will give you 1-3 sentences from or about it. Or, knowing me, a few paragraphs, a page, or a promise of a much longer fic Lol!
This will be a link to the master post.
A few rules.
I'll write NCIS, It Takes a Thief, Chicago Hope, light crossovers with various shows/book series (send me a PM or just prompt and I'll yea or nay ya).
No rape fic, no child abuse, no promptor insertion fics, no overt physical/emotional abuse by hero character. No sequels to other people's stories. No sneak peeks of commissioned fics. No duplicate or very similar prompts. No characters having sexual and/or romantic bonds with anyone under 18. No RPF/RPS. No obviously OOC characters.
Please make sure prompts are simple and easy to meet in a few hundred words. If your prompt is a paragraph or more longer, or has many plot points, it isn't likely to be able to be met in this format.
Het, gen, slash prompts welcome. AU, paranormal welcome. Just please no Tony/Ziva or Gibbs/Jenny. These aren't pairings I'm able to write. Please no wildly OOC prompts. No pregnancy or MPREG prompts, no crossdressing.
If a prompt isn't working for me and/or blocks me, I reserve the right to ask you for a substitute prompt.

If it didn’t hurt so much, Gibbs would have clenched his jaw. As it was, Gibbs gave Tony’s father a significant look, barely able to be patient as Ducky left and Tony’s father pulled a chair close and sank into it, not quite hiding a wince. He wasn’t a young man, and he’d lifted Tony at least twice, as well as taking on Gibbs’ weight. It was a lot for any man, and Tony’s father was not as young as Gibbs was.
“He’s going to be fine, Jethro, as Doctor Mallard said. Both of you broke some ribs, you several more than Junior. Both of you have concussions, both of you have regained consciousness, though Junior fell back to sleep oh, about twenty minutes ago. Junior’s broken his wrist, and you have some mildly torn muscles in your back. Both of you will be staying here overnight and then recuperating at home, as long as there are no complications.”
Senior clasped Gibbs’ hand. “You know what that boy’s first words were? Of you, Gibbs. Neither of you were concerned with your own conditions, so much as worrying about the other.” Senior’s expression softened into a fond smile. “My time is my own for the moment, Jethro, and I’ll be staying on to help you both until you boys are on your feet.I presume I’ll be lodging at your home.”
“You will be?” Gibbs wasn’t sure if he should be shocked, amused, or mildly horrified.
“I will,” Senior confirmed, squeezing Gibbs’ hand. “And I want to know more about you and Junior, Gibbs.”
“Who says there’s anything to know?” They weren’t out to anyone—not their friends, families, the team. Nobody knew, and this with the second time Mr. DiNozzo had mentioned it.
Tony’s father gave Gibbs an indulgent smile, and Gibbs could see the hints of who Tony would become in his father’s expression, his stomach clenching. They looked so damned much alike that it was uncanny sometimes Gibbs fixed his gaze on Tony, swallowing back equal measures of worry and relief.
“I know that boy, Jethro. He’s quite like me in some regards. And the way he looked over at you and you him just now…” He trailed off, staring out into the room for a long moment. “Shall we say, I know that boy almost as well as you do, and I saw the look of love in his eyes. Let’s stop dancing around the subject. I know, and I will keep your secret. Just treat him well, Gibbs. That boy deserves the best.”
“I will,” Gibbs vowed.
