Wow, things have been VERY stressful in the last couple of weeks! I'm sorry for being quieter than I intended.
A perfect storm of major work stress, major technical issues, this paypal crap, family and friend crises, and a persistent and very exhausting illness have combined to make for one of the most stressful periods of my life.
I literally don't remember much of the last three weeks beyond work/sleep/stomach illness/trying to bolster my mom's spirits.
Everything seems to be slowly resolving itself.
Sadly, the family and fried crises aren't so great. My mom's best fiend passed away yesterday, the second major death in my family/friend group since January. If you can keep Diane's family in your thoughts, I'd appreciate it! She was a great lady and will be missed.
Mom is essentially homebound, and she has a very small friend group, mostly the wives of guys who served with my stepdad in the Army Reserves. Most of the couples are facing crises--cancer, early onset dementia, chronic alcoholism, one guy who served several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan (after serving in Vietnam and the Gulf War too) had been rear ended twice since he came home last fall, causing multiple injuries to him and his wife. And now Diane has died, leaving a husband with a major progressive illness.
Hard times.
Work is becoming more manageable, after three weeks of very rough times.
My illness seems to be fading (slowly but surely). It'll be nice to eat and actually keep food down ;)
Tech woes are minimal now--THANK GOD!And I have an amazing backup program now.
Paypal seems to have reversed its decision and there is still a lot of "junk" there, but it too is getting better.
Anyway...as a result of all this, the last day I wrote a word was 2/25. Ugh! Inertia kills my productivity. I'm going to try to nail down some of the Feb prompts and do a belated/abbreviated March post, so keep your eyes peeled.
If you celebrate, have a great St. Patrick's Day!
Hope you're all doing well! Update me!! I feel like I've been out of the loop!
