Hi *waves excitedly*

I am still alive and doing well :) My husband almost finalized the process of buying a house. Very exciting times on a personal level. I was also able to meet with some folks from the fandom back in Feb. when a group descended on DC. It was great to see old friends again and meet new ones in the flesh, some of whom (like Xanthe) I'd been reading for years and years.

I am still writing at a good clip, focusing on the commissioned/charity fics in the fandom. A very long one is my primary focus right now and I hope to have that finished in a month or less, but so much depends on other factors. I have several other commissioned stories in various stages, from brainstorming, to initial writing, to banging out plot ideas. I'm generally very excited about these stories and I'm so thankful for the wonderful prompts from the commissioners :) I'm going to try to avoid posting any of these as WIP, so I may go a bit quiet at times, but I am still (and always) around :)

Thanks for reading this post, and my stories :)

A couple of days ago, I recieved a LJ private message from [livejournal.com profile] gibbsgirlabby informing me that there was a situation over on Fanfiction.net. Some individual had posted one story each from me, [livejournal.com profile] tejas, [livejournal.com profile] xanthelj, and [livejournal.com profile] webbgirl. This individual's profile intimated that *she* was the writer of our stories and expressed some negative commentary about spanking fics and kink fics. The inidvidual called us out and seems to have some sort of personal axe to grind.

Needless to say, this is as far from the truth as can be. Xanthe, tejas, webbgirl, and I have very different writing styles and it is ludicrous (not to mention pathological) for anyone to think fandom readership will believe this individual created these stories a year or more after they were net published.

At least I'm in *excellent* company.

And fandom has been nothing short of amazing! I have over 30 LJ messages, tweets, and emails informing me of this. There are a few LJ posts discussing this, both from the authors involved and wonderful people like [livejournal.com profile] djmicheals, [livejournal.com profile] dietpunkfics, and [livejournal.com profile] kateri_e, who were outraged on our behalf. This situation could have been fairly negative, but with fandom's response, it has turned it completely on its head. I'm nore inspired and fired up to write than ever!

I've contacted ff.net and hopefully they'll resolve this situation.

I was going to stay quiet about this, following the whole "don't feed the troll" mentality, but the overwhelming response had me running to my keyboard this morning.

Thank you...thank you for reading, that you for caring, and thank you for being protective of my words on my behalf!

Many hugs! You guys are the *greatest*
