Since this has been wonderful for my creativity, here is month 2 :)
Tell me a story I haven’t written, and I will give you 1-3 sentences from or about it. Or, knowing me, a few paragraphs, a page, or a promise of a much longer fic Lol!
I'm taking 20 prompts for now. Anything prompted in the previous post is a bonus. This will be a link to the master post. Blue entries are complete. Black still pending :)

A few rules.
Only 2 prompts per poster for now. Bonuses do not count toward the total. If I open things up later in the month, it may be a free for all, so start saving prompts.
I'll write NCIS, CSINY (first 3 seasons only), It Takes a Thief, Chicago Hope, light crossovers with various shows/book series (send me a PM or just prompt and I'll yea or nay ya), original fic.
No rape fic, no child abuse, no promptor insertion fics, no overt abuse by hero character. No sequels to other people's stories. No sneak peeks of commissioned fics. No duplicate or very similar prompts. No characters having sexual and/or romantic bonds with anyone under 18.
Het, gen, slash prompts welcome. AU, paranormal welcome. Just please no Tony/Ziva, Stella/Mac, Danny/Lindsay, or Gibbs/Jenny These aren't pairings I'm able to write. Please no wildly OOC prompts. Due to a recent tragedy in my personal life, I cannot do pregnancy or MPREG prompts, sorry. That just hits way too close to home and family anguish.
If a prompt isn't working for me and/or blocks me, I reserve the right to ask you for a substitute prompt.

Danny's Mess
The Marchowski family was an old one, and they tended to stay out of the smaller thuglike mob goings on. They specialized in higher end stuff—money laundering, movement of weapons to local militia…the murder of one of their local couriers had caused a lot of interest.
And Mac had wanted it buried, which Danny didn’t understand. So he’d quietly been working the case on off hours, burying all his logs and evidence. It might not hold up in court, but at least he’d figure it out.
“You pissed the big man off,” one of the thugs said after he consulted his phone. “He’s gonna deal with you in person.”
Crap. Danny could imagine what that meant.
“He’s not gonna let ya off easy,” the thug said with a grin. “He’s going to protect us at all costs. Say your prayers.”
Danny tuned their taunting out, wishing he’d said everything he could to Mac. Something told him he wasn’t gonna get a chance to say his goodbye.
“Can I make a phone call?” he asked, but they snickered and laughed, one spitting on him. Danny fell silent, unwilling to give them any more ammo. He’d go out like a cop, making Mac proud.
When the door started to open, the thugs came to attention and even Danny sat up straighter. The head of the family was shrouded in mystery and if he was going out—and he was sure he was—at least he’d get to meet the man face to face.
Danny’s heart leaped as Mac strode in as if he owned the place. It took a second for Danny to realize something was wrong, that Mac didn’t have his weapon drawn. And as Mac shook the hands of the thugs and motioned them out of the room, Danny’s stomach started twisting uncomfortably.
Not Mac. The guy had so much integrity. Not Mac!
“Mac?” he asked, and his lover turned to him, regret written on his face.
“Danny, you shouldn’t have pried. What am I going to do with you now?”
