The second book in my Stragetic Affair series, Sparking the Fire, has been released. This is an original fiction series that kicked off with Going Under. You can find more info on Going Under here.

Ronan and Steel had a lusty encounter in a dim nightclub, but when they see each other in the light of day, everything changes. Recruited to a mysterious organization, they’re given an opportunity to work together as partners. But can they keep their interest for each other in control? One lapse in concentration could get them killed.

Find it at Amazon, All Romance Ebooks, Smashwords, Bookstrand and B&N.

More info, and the cover .

First, the gorgeous cover!

And an excerpt!

For a company Steel had never heard of, this real estate was impressive. Barry hadn’t been a rich man, not when they’d served anyway, and every time Steel had seen his friend, he’d been driving a serviceable but definitely not luxury SUV. His house was as middle-class as one could get in Southern California, and all of this was quite the change. Which was the illusion and which was the reality?

“What is Kidson, Barry? Bouncers? Security? Multiple smartcards. You have to fill me in.”

“I will,” Barry assured, reaching for a file on his desk. “Cool your heels here, and read this. Don’t try to leave. You’re restricted to the room until your credentials come through and my men outside mean business.”

And he was gone before Steel could protest, the door snicking closed behind him. Steel didn’t have to get up to know that he was locked in. He considered calling Barry and giving him hell, but something about the situation intrigued the hell out of him. Maybe he had a cloak and dagger kink.

Steel jammed the hat back on his head and opened up the file, diving in to Kidson Holdings. The file didn’t say a hell of a lot—but Steel could read between the lines. Part import/export, part security, part acquisitions specialists, they seemed to have their fingers in a lot of pies. While it didn’t seem government funded, Steel had a distinct feeling it was government sanctioned. There was just enough info in the file to lure him in and get him interested in learning more.

At the end of the two-page summary that said a lot without actually telling enough, Steel found a contract for employment. If he accepted one assignment of a week to ten days in duration, he’d be paid fifteen thousand dollars. And while he should have demanded answers, he found himself scrawling his signature on the page. Maybe it was ennui or blind faith in Barry, but Steel had a feeling he was doing the right thing.

Just as he finished scrawling his name, the door behind him opened and Steel came to his feet, just as Barry ushered another man inside.

Ronan.

He should have known.

That cover is stunning!! And the excerpt more than promising. Looking forward to buying this one later tonight and reading Going Under and this one in one go.

That really is a stunning cover. I still haven't got around to reading Going Under yet although it has been sitting on my Kindle since its release, I will be downloading this shortly though, it sounds intriguing! Well done :)

*AMAZING*

I got up early(0500 thank you very much) so I could read both of them before work. Then drug my ass in to the office when I would have rather been able to re-read and snuggle on the couch.

Oh shiny! *makes grabby hands*

Though I gotta admit, I did chuckle a little bit when I read your subject line. I was like, "the fire is out?" *snorfle* It just sparked! How can it be out again already?! :P

I'll definitely download! Will there be more in this universe? Not that I'm curious or anything...

LOl out, rekindled. Out...mmmm there are possibilities there!

I'm planning 6 books in this arc, as in outlined.

Then, depending on reader interest, I may do a couple more arcs with these two as a pair, or do more within the company.
