Pet the Kitty

Gibbs had known about Tony all along. Though the info hadn’t been in his personnel file, Gibbs had worked it out early on. Tony’d been staying with him and there had been a full moon, and Gibbs had come downstairs for a drink of water, only to see a black cat with deep green eyes on his couch.

Gibbs hadn’t been a stranger to paranormal events—though his parents had tried to shield him, Gibbs had known his mother was a raptor shifter. And after she’d died at the hands of a bigger, stronger predator, Gibbs had tried to brush everything paranormal out of his psyche.

But he couldn’t deny that Tony was a shifter, and he knew Tony knew. Gibbs arranged to be close by on full moons and had pulled Tony’s feline ass out of the fire more than once. It was just what Gibbs did.

When Tony had asked to stay over this full moon, Gibbs hadn’t hesitated. It would allow him to keep an even closer eye on Tony, he’d rationalized. It was just coincidence that he’d fallen asleep scratching the cat’s belly, comfortably relaxed by the roaring fire. And it didn’t mean anything that he awoke to stroking a very human Tony’s hard cock.
