Glad to your roommate's advancing in her recovery, likewise you and hubby. My mum always had problems keeping her anaemia at bay, although it was never as bad as yours fortunately, but had to regular take iron supplements in one form or another. The docs never did find out why, but as it never impeded her from doing things they weren't worried.
I hope you find a solution that at least gives you some energy. Probably talking out of my head here, but have you tried ginseng? I can't take it because of my BP but it does give the old system a jolt or two.
Let's hope the new fridge works well - very cheeky the people at local shop trying to sell used as new.
