April prompts-closed. Track post for fic! Prompts complete!
Whew! Feb is almost done, I'm tackling March this afternoon and I think I'm ready for April ;)
Tell me a story I haven’t written, and I will give you 1-3 sentences from or about it. Or, knowing me, a few paragraphs, a page, or a promise of a much longer fic Lol!
I'm taking 20 prompts for now. Anything prompted in the previous post is a bonus. This will be a link to the master post.Prompts are now closed.
A few rules.
I'll write NCIS, CSINY (first 3 seasons only), It Takes a Thief, Chicago Hope, light crossovers with various shows/book series (send me a PM or just prompt and I'll yea or nay ya), original fic.
No rape fic, no child abuse, no promptor insertion fics, no overt abuse by hero character. No sequels to other people's stories. No sneak peeks of commissioned fics. No duplicate or very similar prompts. No characters having sexual and/or romantic bonds with anyone under 18.
Please make sure prompts are simple and easy to meet in a few hundred words. If your prompt is a paragraph or more longer, or has many plot points, it isn't likely to be able to be met in this format.
Het, gen, slash prompts welcome. AU, paranormal welcome. Just please no Tony/Ziva, Stella/Mac, Danny/Lindsay, or Gibbs/Jenny These aren't pairings I'm able to write. Please no wildly OOC prompts. Due to a recent tragedy in my personal life, I cannot do pregnancy or MPREG prompts, sorry. That just hits way too close to home and family anguish.
If a prompt isn't working for me and/or blocks me, I reserve the right to ask you for a substitute prompt.
Prompt away!

No Shot
Tony watched her gyrating on the dance floor, her leather corset gleaming in the flashing lights of the club. Some thrash metal met techno in a beat that pulsed through his body. A part of him wondered if he wasn’t too old for this.
Abby hadn’t invited him; she’d mentioned to it Kate and he’d started wondering if Kate was going with Abby, an if so what she’d wear and…well, one thing had led to another and Tony’d come to the club hoping.
For what? He didn’t even like Kate that way—the whole repressed Catholic schoolgirl thing had never been his kink. He’d always been drawn to much more complicated women, the unexpected his Spanish Fly.
Abby’d come alone, dressed in leather, her hair down her shoulders. She drank something that he imagined was Red Bull and Vodka, then shimmied her way onto the dance floor She danced with men and women, swaying with a hot blonde before spinning in the arms of a spiky-haired guy with a wispy beard.
Tony sipped his beer and watched the way she moved. There was just no way she’d ever go for him—he was way too vanilla for a girl like her. But he could look his fill. He loved the way her creamy breasts plumped at the top of the corset and the way her fuck-me boots made her legs look even longer, if that was possible.
As he realized his cock as hardening, he turned back to the bar, hunching over his drink. He should go—there had to be a good movie playing. He didn’t belong here, after all.
Decision made, Tony straightened, tossing a five into the tip jar. He started to turn to leave when a hot body pressed against him, intimately tightly, legs and abdomen fusing against his, the spicy gunpowder and fruity scent wrapping around him.
He turned, eyeing his friend, wondering what she might be thinking. “Abbs.”
“Wasn’t expecting you here.” She punctuated the phrase with a bump to his hip, her naked thigh coming too close to the family jewels for him to feel comfortable. As they strained closer, he eased back, looking at her.
“Well, I’m here.”
“Yeah, I saw,” she said with a decidedly naughty smirk. “Wanna get out of here, Tony?”
“With you?” he asked, feeling clumsy and kinda dumb.
“Yeah with me. Your place or mine?” she asked, her expression turning serious, sultry around the edges.
Maybe he did have a shot with her.

I couldn’t resist a slight crossover with my fave book series—James Rollins’ Sigma Force. I’m glad mundygd agreed to this And yes…this may be a longer fic. *headdesks repeatedly*. If you like fantastic action adventure, check James Rollins out.
What you need to know about the crossover? Sigma is a group of covert operatives who blend science and military experience. They’re fairly top secret and are under he umbrella of DARPA. To find out a little more about the group, check the wiki entry here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sigma_Force#SIGMA_Force_Novels
Gibbs stared at the photo in the file, tapping his fingers on the table before making a fist and releasing it several times. Vance hadn’t wanted to read him in on this, but given the unique circumstances, as Vance had put it, he felt Gibbs needed to know.
“James Anthony Willams, born June twenty four, nineteen eighty seven.” He glanced up at Vance, doing the math. “DiNozzo was sixteen.”
Vance nodded. “Trevor and Beatrice Williams raised him. The girl, Melanie, and DiNozzo turned over parental rights to her parents.”
“Gibbs flipped another page, reading further. “DiNozzo paid child support, even when he was at college.”
Vance nodded, shifting in his seat and looking at his door.
“Why do I have this file, Leon?” he asked intensely, his coffee cup forgotten. There was a reason Vance had called him into work at oh five thirty. “What the hell’s this got to do with my team?”
The door clicked open, and Gibbs turned to see a guy with shoulder-length dark hair and piercing blue eyes walk in. The guy’s expression was troubled, and Gibbs tried to read his body language, but the guy wasn’t giving much away.
“Gibbs, Director Crowe. Sigma.”
“Sigma?” Gibbs asked, coming to his feet and shaking the other man’s hand. “What’s Sigma, and what’s it got to do with my team?” His gut was twisting now; there was something going on.
“That man is one of mine, and he’s missing.” Crowe said, his expression firming. “My team is trying to find him, but we think he’s gone to ground. We need your help. We need his father’s knowledge. They’ve stayed in close contact all these years.”
“What the hell’s going on here, Leon?” Gibbs snapped. DiNozzo had a kid—a kid Gibbs sure as hell hadn’t ever heard about, and the kid was in trouble. There was no doubt Gibbs would move heaven and earth to get the kid back.
As Vance opened his mouth to answer, the door opened again and Tony rushed in. He looked around, chest heaving, eyes wide. Gibbs had never seen him so agitated before.
“DiNozzo—“ Gibbs started, but Tony waved him off with an angry slash of his hand and Gibbs quirked an eyebrow, coming around to stand next to his senior agent.
“Crowe, Director, what the hell’s going on. Where’s James?”
“He’s in trouble, but we’re going to find him,” Gibbs vowed quietly. He had more questions that answers at the moment, but Tony clearly knew more than he was saying. He knew who Crowe was, for one thing.
“Brief us,” Gibbs said. Vance hesitated until Gibbs stared him down. There was no way Gibbs was sidelining DiNozzo with his kid in trouble. “Start talkin’, Leon. Now.”
And as Vance and Crowe laid out the situation, Gibbs knew they had their hands full, but his team was the best. “We’ll find him, Tony.” Trust me, he added silently.
“I know, Boss.”
Gibbs glanced over at Tony and saw the truth in his eyes. Tony believed in him and there was no way Gibbs would let him or James down.
“With me,” he said to DiNozzo, standing as soon as Crowe’s voice faded. “We’ll be in touch. We will get him back,” he said, directing the words to Crowe, director of a group Gibbs had never even heard of before this morning.
“Know you will,” Crowe replied, but Gibbs and Tony were already out the door. They had a job to do.

Call me Al
Crossover with It Takes a Thief. Robert Wagner (who plays Senior) also played the lead character in It Takes a Thief, thief reluctantly turned government operative Alexander Mundy. To find out more about the series, click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It_Takes_a_Thief_%281968_TV_series%29
“Now, Gibbs, Cousin Al is kind of a black sheep,” Tony chattered as they walked through the lobby, toward the bar area of the Four Seasons in Georgetown. “Just like him talk. Kind of like…my father.”
His father?
Gibbs stopped, turning to look at Tony, who was talking on and on and walking through the lobby without a care in the world. He turned when he realized Gibbs wasn’t with him.
“What is it?” he asked, his expression getting deadly serious all of a sudden. Tony reached for his sidearm, but Gibbs shook his head.
“Al?” Gibbs began, putting the pieces together rapidly. It made too damn much sense. The DiNozzo charm and just this side of smarmy way with women. And he could have been a dead ringer for…
“Al Mundy?” Gibbs asked, his feet moving again, though he was sure he hadn’t given them the command to do so. “Is his name Alexander Mundy?”
“I…yeah. How did you know?” Tony asked, the slap of his shoes on the expensive floor echoing through the lobby. “Read it in a file?” he asked, his expression turning slightly pained.
“I guess,” Gibbs muttered. He’d been Gibbs’ problem back in ’98, supplying some counterfeit jewels that an admiral had bought his wife. Mundy had been arrested, then favors had been called in, files had been sealed, and Mundy’d gone free.
It had irked Gibbs then, and it still bothered him now. He strode ahead of Tony, spotting an impeccably dressed man at one of the tables. He wasn’t quite as broad-chested as Tony’s father, but there was a definite resemblance, and when he smiled, it was that same feline, smug expression that Tony’s father had given him.
“Tony!” Mundy said, standing and embracing DiNozzo. “Look at you. You look just like your father. How is that rascal? Staying out of trouble in his old age?”
“He’s fine, Al. He’s…you know. He always lands on his feet. He’ll be here soon.” Before Tony could say anything else, his father materialized, looking if not a twin for Mundy, then like a brother.
“Junior!” Senior pulled Tony into a hug, then hugged the other man. He turned to Gibbs, giving him a quizzical look. “Al, have you met my boy’s…” He faltered then, giving Tony a wide-eyed look.
“Boss,” Tony added smoothly, angling a glance to Gibbs.
“Partner,” Gibbs added, letting Mundy make of that what he will. “Alexander, it’s been a while.”
Mundy looked at Gibbs for a few long moments before smiling and extending his hand. “It has indeed, Leroy.”
“Leroy?” Tony gaped. “You know him?”
“Later,” Gibbs warned.
Mundy leaned in, nudging Gibbs’ shoulder and giving him a conspiratorial wink. “What’re you drinking, Tony’s partner?” He eyed Gibbs again for a long moment and gave him a wink that had to be flirtatious.
Gibbs sank into a chair. “Bourbon, neat. Double, Alexander.” He had a feeling he was going to need it.
Mundy gave him a perfectly innocent smile, though amusement was dancing in his eyes. “We’re practically family, Leroy, and we have such a fascinating past, don’t we? You can call me Al.”
“Make it a triple.”

Big Four Oh
Gibbs had known Tony was out of sorts a few weeks before his birthday. His last close frat brother had gotten married a few months ago, and the news that another frat bother, Phil, a former roommate, had died of a heart attack just a couple weeks after turning forty.
He tolerated Tony wearing designer clothes to work, even some things that weren’t exactly professional. He gritted his teeth when Tony smeared gunk under his eyes and went out clubbing with Abby. He ignored all of the Men’s Health magazines, open to articles about tightening abs.
He didn’t even comment about the juicer, the fruits and veggies that appeared in the fridge and the green sludge in the bottom of the glasses. He had no idea how Tony stomached the juices he made, but Gibbs never said a word.
But this…this was the last straw.
In Tony’s ever-so-subtle fashion, he’d propped a menu up on the kitchen table, for a place that did tofu birthday cakes.
No. No way.
That was not happening.
Gibbs drove quickly home, stopping by his favorite bakery. A guy only turned the big four oh once, and there was no way Gibbs would ruin that with a cake made out of tofu. No, Tony was gonna get his favorite triple fudge cake, and he was gonna eat every damn bite of it.
Gibbs had the cat cut into six super-sized wedges when Tony walked in, rubbing the back of his head.
“Stop. You’re not going bald, you’re not getting fat, and Ducky told you that you’re in great shape. Sit your ass down and eat your birthday cake.”
Gibbs slapped a glass on the table and poured Tony a huge glass of milk. “Eat. Drink.”
Tony gave him a grateful look. “Thanks, Jethro.”
“You’re welcome,” Gibbs said, mussing Tony’s hair. “Happy birthday. Less talk, more eat.”
“On it, Boss.”
Re: Big Four Oh
"Happy birthday. Less talk, more eat." So Gibbs! *hearts him*
And really, tofu cake? Really?! TOFU?! *is aghast* Tony!!! *smacks him*
(One minor thing though: I sure hope Gibbs cut the cake into six wedges, not the cat. O.O LOL!)
Re: Big Four Oh
Leather
He hadn’t been expected him until the weekend, but his training time with the guys had gone all wrong when Gibbs had hyper-extended his wrist and since he couldn’t shoot, he opted to go home. It’d be kinda nice to have Tony baby him, as much as Tony would do it, anyway.
Gibbs let himself into the house silently, nodding appreciatively as the mellow sounds of classic jazz wafted through the house. It was nice to hear music that wasn’t modern crap in his house. Though DiNozzo was younger, he was attracted to classic singers—Dean Martin, Sinatra, Nat King Cole, stuff Gibbs liked as well.
He walked upstairs silently, and stuck his head into the bedroom. Tony was lying on the bed face up, stroking something and holding it close to his face…and…stroking something else.
The smell of expensive leather was heavy in the room, along with Tony’s musk, and Gibbs moved closer, bending at the waist to lick the very tip of Tony’s cock.
“God!” His body jerked and his eyes flew open. “Jethro. What are you…?” Eyes widened and he tried to hide whatever was in his hand…but Gibbs had seen it.
“What’s that?” he asked, his voice rough now, his cock hardening.
“Glove…”
“Why?”
“Leather…I like it.”
Gibbs leaned in, breathing the scent, letting it surround him.
“Mmm, nice.” He maneuvered so that he was lying on his side, his braced wrist out of the way.
“What happened?” Tony asked, eyes snagging on the ace bandage.
“Pulled some stuff. Nothing important.” Sure as hell not as important as the enticing scent of a turned on Tony…and leather.
“Ever jack off wearing this?” Gibbs asked, slipping the glove onto his uninjured hand. It was a perfect fit.
“No!” Tony managed to gasp out.
“Wanna see how it feels…and smells?” Gibbs asked, even though he knew the answer. And as he began to stroke Tony, he grinned. “Can get into this leather thing, DiNozzo.”
“Perfect,” Tony said in between groans.
And it was.

Italian Stallion
Gibbs hadn’t minded helping Tony pack up his place, and even though Tony was away for a evening with the guys—one of his Baltimore PD buddies was getting married—he ended up at DiNozzo’s place. The sooner they got the stuff moved, the sooner he’d be able to have Tony at his place 24/7.
The clothes had all been moved over, most of the DVDs, the big screen TV, even the CDs. There were just boxes of old mementoes, video tapes that Tony had put on DVD already, trophies, things like that. Gibbs could put together a few boxes and bring ‘em over.
Gibbs ran across a couple of video tapes that were marked “important” and “Tonio.” He glanced at the small Tv/VHS combo hat Tony hadn’t been interested in moving, Gibbs’ curiosity piqued.
He popped the tape in and turned the TV on, glad that this was a fairly unsophisticated setup. Gibbs settled on the bed, and watched as professional—though cheesy—credits started running. The soundtrack was embarrassingly cliché and he watched—shocked and a little turned on—as the most perfect ass made its way across his screen. The guy was tanned and muscular and…
When he turned, Gibbs couldn’t hide his groan. Those green eyes and flashing smile were all his boy, even if a college-age Tony’s chest was shaved smooth and he was gleaming with baby oil.
Now this was more like it!
Gibbs settled in to watch, his hand drifting to his hard cock.
Hours later, after several thorough watchings and jack-off sessions, Gibbs became aware of his cell phone ringing. He flipped it open, trying to concentrate, trying to focus on something—anything.
“I’m on the way home, Gibbs. Need me to pick up anything?” Tony asked, his voice warm and affectionate in Gibbs’ ear.
“Just some baby oil, Tonio,” Gibbs replied, grinning at his lover on screen.
“Tonio?” DiNozzo asked, his voice a full octave higher, approaching two.
“Yeah, Italian Stallion. Your place. I’m waiting.”
“I’m fucked, aren’t it?”
“Gonna be.”

Wanted
The fourth weekend running, Gibbs had taken off to do something that didn’t involve Tony. He’d gone to Stillwater one weekend, and even though Tony’d begged and tried to wheedle his invitation, Gibbs—and even Jack—had shut him down.
The next weekend, Gibbs had gone to a series of closed-door meetings with Vance, and his senior agent was not invited—no way no how. Then there’d been the fishing weekend with his old Marine buddies. Tony’d understood why Gibbs wouldn’t want him along for that one. Sure, they were together and Gibbs hadn’t exactly hidden it, but there was no way he’d out them to their friends or coworkers. So far, so good. Only Ducky of their coworkers knew, and he’d kept it quiet.
It was okay—Tony understood. They’d come out to their friends eventually. That was if Gibbs didn’t tire of him.
This weekend, Gibbs hadn’t even offered an excuse. He’d gotten up at oh six hundred, mussed Tony’s hair and said he’d be home sometime.
Sometime?
It was Tony’s birthday today—and the last thing he wanted to do was spend it alone. McGee, Abbs, Palmer, and even Ziva, had tried to get him to go out with him, but he’d begged off, saying he had plans. They probably all figured he was with some stacked blonde, or brunette, or even redhead.
Instead, he was wandering around Gibbs’ house. He could have gone for a run, but it was too hot. He could have watched a movie, but he’d seen four so far this weekend, and didn’t that smack of being pathetic.
He grabbed one of his sports magazines and flopped down on the couch, trying to ignore how the fabric smelled of his lover, that blend of coffee and sawdust and…
Tony burrowed against the fabric, snuggling in. An afternoon nap wouldn’t hurt…
“Shh, he’s sleeping,” Gibbs hissed, and Tony’s eyes popped open. His face was pressed against the couch back and he didn’t move. Gibbs grunted and cursed softly, and Tony was aware of the sound of something heavy being dragged, carried by Gibbs and from the sound of the footfalls, a couple of other guys.
“Gonna wake him?” someone Tony didn’t recognized asked.
“Not until you’re all gone, Newton,” Gibbs replied in a whisper.
Tony lay perfectly still as the men muscled something into the room and left, Gibbs leading them onto the porch before thanking them. As he came back in, Tony rolled onto his back and stretched stiff muscles, but kept his eyes closed.
“Know you’re awake, Birthday Boy,” Gibbs remarked, nudging Tony’s leg with his foot. “Know you’re dying to know. Open up.”
Tony’s eyes obediently popped open and he sat up—and stared. The piece of furniture was exquisitely made, carved, Tony knew, from Gibbs’ own hands. There was something that screamed a Gibbsian style.
He stood and approached the low, long cabinet, stroking his hand reverently over the wood. “You made this.”
“Yep.”
“For me?”
“Yep.”
The flat-screen Gibbs had reluctantly allowed Tony to get had been placed atop the cabinet and it looked as if it belonged there.
“Shelves for your movies and your DVD player,” Gibbs motioned, gesturing to the glass panels in the cabinet.
“You made this,” Tony repeated, looking over at his lover. It must have taken a long time for him to create this, and they’d been run ragged at work. “When?”
“Weekends,” Gibbs admitted, a little flush covering his cheeks.
“Weekends? This…” Suddenly, it all made sense to him. Gibbs hadn’t been ignoring him at all. “Thanks, Jethro,” he finished, keeping his voice quiet. He wanted to say so much more, but he held back, knowing that Gibbs would get annoyed by a constant verbal stream.
“Welcome. Happy birthday. You’re wanted, ya know, so stop moping.” And as Gibbs pulled him into a hug, Tony welcomed the headslap. Maybe he’d been an idiot, but he was Gibbs’ idiot, and that was what mattered.

Wanted too
10. tejas Gibbs doesn't observe his own birthdays. Tony, however, won't let Gibbs' birthday pass unnoticed.
Couldn’t resist and set this as a sequel to Wanted (http://taylorgibbs.livejournal.com/101155.html?view=1066019#t1066019)
After Gibbs had given Tony such a wonderful birthday gift, Tony knew he wanted to do something special for Gibbs. But Gibbs was kind of the anti-birthday guy. He never observed it, and Tony didn’t figure anyone else on the team knew what day was Gibbs’ birthday. There was no way Abby would let it pass without fanfare—and probably small pyrotechnics if Tony knew Abbs. Tony’d only found out what day it was because he’d snooped in Gibbs’ file.
A few times, but who was counting. That was all in the past.
He knew Gibbs wasn’t a cake and singing the birthday song kinda guy, but there was no way Tony would let the date pass unnoticed. Fortunately, Gibbs’ birthday was in the middle of Labor Day weekend.
Tony’d spent a couple of weeks making sure everything was perfect. He hadn’t let on anything, had just prepared his presents in a very Un-DiNozzo-like manner.
After dinner—burgers on the grill—he told Gibbs to grab a couple of beers and go into the living room. Jethro had no idea—Tony’d let the day pass without so much as a cheesy grin. This present was too important to ruin with his impatience.
Tony went up to the spare bedroom and gathered a pile of DVD cases and a slim box and made his way back down to the living room. Gibbs had put a game on and arched a brow when Tony came in, his beer bottle halfway to his lips.
“What’s this?” Gibbs asked, slowly putting the bottle down onto the coffee table.
“Some things for you,” Tony said, weighing his words carefully. He opened the box and pulled out a digital photo frame, turning it on. There were over three hundred pictures in it, from Gibbs’ parents’ childhoods, to their wedding and his birth, right up through Shannon and Kelly. Gibbs took the frame and stared at it for a few long moments, watching as a beautiful redhead smiling on Jack’s arm faded to a picture of Shannon and Kelly, the little girl laughing.
“How did you—“ Gibbs cut himself off, and Tony noticed he was blinking rapidly.
“Jack had a lot of them. You had more. I just had them digitized, the pictures weren’t hurt.”
Gibbs nodded, eyes falling back to the picture. “And the DVDs?” His voice was extra husky and Tony hoped he hadn’t screwed up.
“From your video tapes and the cassettes. I didn’t watch them or listen to them. I won’t unless you want me to. But I thought you should have backup copies, so I had them digitized.”
“Woulda liked you,” Gibbs said, so quietly Tony wondered if he hadn’t heard correctly. Words threatened to spill out, but he bit his tongue—literally. This wasn’t the time to interrupt.
Gibbs pulled in a breath and nodded. “A lot of work to make all this. For me.”
“Happy birthday,” Tony replied, giving Gibbs a gentle smile.
Gibbs nodded, patting the couch beside him. “Thanks. Nobody ever…since…”
Gibbs never talked about his life before, and Tony’s eyes widened. “You don’t need to…”
“Maybe I want to.”
And Tony realized Gibbs was giving him a hell of a gift too.

Lottery
He looked up from sanding when Tony raced down the stars at just after twenty-three hundred, his face white, his eyes wide.
“What?” Gibbs asked, sure they’d caught a case.
“We won,” Tony said quietly, clutching the small piece of paper. Our birthdays—we won.”
“We…” Gibbs couldn’t even finish the thought. He motioned Tony close, studying his face for some sign that this was a joke—it had to be.
“We won,” Tony repeated. “Now what?”
Six months later
Gibbs and Tony had never come out in public as the lottery winners—they’d been allowed to remain anonymous and have their lawyer and accountant talk for them. It was pretty much life as normal, though a select few knew of their winnings. Their fathers had been lavishly provided for, as had Amira and Layla. They’d allowed each other one frivolous purchase—Gibbs a boat, and Tony a high-end theater system they were putting into the addition to Casa Gibbs that was nearly complete.
The majority of the money had been split into various funds—the Marine Corps Scholarship Fund, a special fund set up for the struggling spouses and children impacted by deaths NCIS had investigated. The Wounded Warrior project, Operation Homefront. Many charities would benefit from their windfall.
Gibbs and Tony had kept five million of the money—a sum Gibbs had thought was too much, but that he knew he could will to anyone he wished. He and Tony had mutually agreed that Abby would be their beneficiary upon their deaths. McGee had his writing income, Palmer and Ducky came from money, and Kate wouldn’t have accepted it anyway.
It was the right thing to do, to share their windfall.
Gibbs nudged Tony’s shoulder as they watched the sun setting over the Atlantic from the deck of their boat. “We did the right thing, Tony.”
“Yeah, we did,” Tony replied. “Money isn’t everything. I have you.”
“Damn right ya do.”

My Heart will Go On
Gibbs barely bit back his groan as he watched Tony, arms spread wide to his sides, on the bow of his sailboat. He’d promised Tony anything—literally—after the other man had barely come through a multiple gunshot situation.
And Tony had asked for this—a weekend away on the boat, just the two of them. They were out on open water now, with nobody near, when Tony had stripped buck naked and clambered to the bow, throwing his arms out and singing “My Heart Will Go On,” a song Gibbs actually knew vaguely. And detested intensely.
The wind was in Tony’s hair and he looked wild and untamed, his skin bronzed dark. The only areas that stood out among the tanned expanse of skin were the still-healing areas, the minor scars white, the major ones still red, puffy, angry looking.
Gibbs pushed his unease back for the moment. Tony was here—vital, alive. Gibbs banished the memory of a blood-covered Tony to the furthest reaches of his mind. He was here—he was safe and he was healing. That was all that mattered.
“Get back down here,” Gibbs growled good-naturedly.
Tony turned his head, giving Gibbs a grin that suddenly transformed him, made him seem much younger. “You ever see Titanic?”
“Nope!”
“Do you know what happens?” Tony asked, giving Gibbs a wide grin.
“Yep.” It was bad luck to mention it though. That was something no sailor discussed on the open water.
“We don’t have a fancy car but—”
“Fancy car?” Now Gibbs was lost.
“Oh, you meant—no.” Tony made his way back to Gibbs, sitting next to him, unconcerned about his nudity or the hard cock rising between his muscular thighs. “I didn’t mean that. Rose, Jack, belowedecks. Steaming up a car.”
“A car, huh?”
“Yeah, but that doesn’t matter. The steaming up part does.” He waggled his eyebrows. “Wanna play, Gibbs?”
“Hell yeah.”
“Last one to the bunk gets to be Rose!” he called over his shoulder as he ran off. Jack, Rose, it didn’t matter. Tony was here with him and he was okay.
“Just don’t sing that song again, or I’m done!” Gibbs replied, following his boy. There was nowhere else he wanted to be.

Man in Uniform
Gibbs rarely wore his uniforms any more, but he’d been asked to attend some functions around the Fourth of July, and dress uniform was printed right on the invitation. He saw the light in Tony’s eyes, but didn’t comment on it. Tony didn’t come to the events, and when Gibbs came home, Tony acted completely uninterested.
Gibbs knew that Tony wasn’t bothered by not going—he, McGee and Dorney had a month-long movie festival taking place in the living room. Every Saturday night—and most of the Fourth of July week—they planned to sit on Gibbs’ couches, watching movies on the sixty-one inch flat-screen Gibbs had reluctantly allowed Tony to install over the fireplace.
He’d noticed the way Tony’s eyes had followed him as he’d gone out earlier tonight, and he wanted to find out more. He suspected Tony had a man-in-uniform kink. It was twenty-two hundred and Gibbs was glad to see his driveway empty. McGee and Dorney had started dating, and he figured they were having some alone time.
They weren’t the only ones.
Gibbs knew Tony liked the sight of him in his uniform. Hell, Gibbs knew he cut a handsome figure in it. He was within five pounds of his active-duty weight, and unlike most of his friends, he had all his hair, and some disposable income now that he didn’t have any more alimonies to pay out.
And he had a very sexy and younger lover.
He opened the door, padding his way inside. A game was on, and Tony was sitting on the couch, watching him out of the corner of his eye. Gibbs acted as if he was going up the stairs and then swiveled, making a beeline for DiNozzo. Tony’s mouth opened slightly and Gibbs was aware of the pulse hammering in Tony’s throat.
“Like what ya see?” he asked, pitching his voice low He stood with his legs slightly open, watching as Tony drank him in, the tip of a pink tongue slicking over DiNozzo’s lips/
“Yes.”
“Yes what?” Gibbs roared.
“Yes, sir!”
Unlike normal, Gibbs didn’t tell Tony to not call him “sir”. He was gonna make the most of this.
“Upstairs! Now!” he ordered. As Tony stood, Gibbs took in the bulge distending his lover’s jeans. Yeah, they were gonna have a great time.
“On it, Boss.”
As Tony scampered up the stairs, Gibbs’ eyes followed that shapely ass. “Not yet, but soon.”

Unsafe
“The hell?” Danny said, a moment after a clang and click echoed. Mac didn’t need to turn to know what had happened.
“Locked in, Danny,” he said, calling the words over his shoulder. It wouldn’t be a big deal, someone would let them out.
“How can ya be so calm?”
Mac stepped closer to Danny, squeezing the other man’s shoulder. He knew Danny wasn’t fond of small spaces, that logic would rule here. “Don and Stella know we’re in here, Danny. They’re right outside. How long will it take for the safe to be opened?”
“We don’t have cell service,” Danny muttered, staring at his phone.
“Don’t need it. Let’s get what we came here for—the evidence.”
Mac and Danny worked to gather the evidence, bagging it. And when they were done, the safe was still closed.
“You okay?” Mac asked, resting a hand on Danny’s back. The tension was thrumming through him and Mac could feel it vibrating into his hand. He felt a small smile begin to blossom. “You need to relax, Danny.”
“Yeah,” Danny admitted, huffing out a breath.
“I know just the way to do that. Turn around.”
“Why?” Mac could hear the smile in Danny’s voice and felt his own growing wider.
“You know why,” Mac said, making his voice seductive. “Just you and me here, Danny. Unsafe. Time to kill.”
“Chain of evidence?” Danny asked, turning and arching a brow at Mac.
“Nobody in here but us. We have to take advantage.”
“Is that an order?”
“It could be,” Mac replied, sealing Danny’s reply with a kiss.

Soul Food
Tony knew it would happen this time of year. It always did. He didn’t need to see the dates on the graves or to read the newspaper reports to know that February was a bad month for Gibbs. First, Valentine’s Day, then around the twentieth he’d get even more silent—Tony’d learned from Jack that was when Gibbs’ mother had died. And Shannon and Kelly had died the last day of the month.
Tony endured as Gibbs snapped and growled at the team, as even Ducky gave him a wide berth. Ducky knew just as well what February meant to Gibbs, even if the other man had never voiced it to him.
Tony let the month pass without comment, without saying what he wanted to, without even going over to Gibbs’ for cowboy steak and beer. But as soon as March first rolled around, he was at Gibbs’ house with Chinese. And conversation. It didn’t matter the topic—Ziva’s widow’s peak, McGee’s tie, Palmer’s honeymoon. He talked and talked, it didn’t matter what he was saying, or if it made any sense. The whole point was to get Gibbs’ mind off the women he’d lost.
After three hours of non-stop chat, Gibbs rolled his eyes and got up off the couch, gathering the boxes and chopsticks to throw them away.
As he exited the room, he turned, pausing for a moment and looking Tony right in the eyes.
“Thanks.”
And Tony knew he’d fed Gibbs’ soul with the distraction of yabba yabba.

Laid Bare
Gibbs looked at the picture of woman in dress uniform, her blue eyes and the familiar planes of her face. It didn’t matter what name was on her uniform. He knew who she belonged to.
“Run the DNA again, Abbs.”
“I’ve run it twice,” she explained her voice tremoring. “It is a match, Gibbs.”
A match.
She’d told him this several times down, but it barely sank in. The words, anyway. The realization was in those eyes that were just like his.
She belonged to him.
This was his daughter.
And she was implicated in a crime. They had to find her, needed to get the answers, unravel the mystery.
“With me, DiNozzo,” he said, his voice sounding unsteady to his ears. Tony reached out, squeezing Gibbs’ arm gently, a pillar of support, as always.
He was going to need Tony more than ever.

Secret Admirer
Gibbs eyed the chocolate bars only Tony’s desk and tried to muffle his sigh. The presents—little things—had shown up one per week. A slim credit card looking thing that turned out to be a gift card for the iThing store, so Tony could buy some music or games for his phone.
A gift certificate for his favorite burger joint was next, followed by a framed photo of Tony from his Ohio State days, in mid-run. It’d been signed by some of his teammates. Tony’d really liked that one, had talked about it all week.
As if his secret admirer had known he was treading into deep waters, he’d backed off, leaving Tony’s favorite coffee, a die-cast of a Mustang, the same year as Tony’s prized car, and now some gourmet chocolate bars.
As Tony slipped into his seat, his eyes widened. “Bacon chocolate?”
Gibbs grunted and strode toward the elevator. It was time to have a chat with Tony’s secret admirer.
Gibbs found Dorney at the coffee shop and stood outside, arms folded, until the other man came out.
“G-g—si—um…”
“Gibbs,” he supplied, watching Dorney. He reminded Gibbs of Palmer and McGee years ago. “Gotta talk.”
“Okay, Sir.”
“Gibbs.” He started striding, long movements that allowed the other man to keep up, but barely. “Ned, Tony’s taken,” he said, without preamble. “Know you’re the one leaving him gifts. Ya stop, Today.”
“Taken?” When Ned stopped, Gibbs did as well, swiveling to look at the other man. Gibbs and Tony didn’t broadcast their relationship at work, though Vance knew. “He’s seeing someone?”
“Me.”
The declaration was quiet, and Gibbs watched as realization flickered across Dorneget’s face. Surprise, a little shock, and then the slight edge of fear.
“I didn’t mean—”
“You didn’t know, Ned.” Gibbs squeezed the back of the young agent’s neck. “But now that you do, no more gifts. Not for my boy. Deal?”
Gibbs extended a hand, gazing into Ned’s eyes. The other man looked hesitant for a moment, then he clasped Gibbs’ hand, his grip strong and sure. “Deal. He’s…you’re lucky…”
“We are.”

Act it out
The latest Thom E. Gemcity novel has LJ Tibbs and Agent Tommy involved in a steamy romance....
“You really do know everyone, don’t you?” Tony asked, glancing at the paperback book on Gibbs’ coffee table. I bet you know about McWriter before any of us.”
Gibbs angled a glance toward Tony and smirked. “Have some connections,” he allowed. He watched as Tony picked up Gemcity’s newest book, releasing in September. He’d received an advance copy of it just yesterday, but Tony had played a basketball game with some of his Baltimore PD buddies and had crashed at home last night, rather than here as usual.
The quiet had allowed Gibbs to get partway through the book and he couldn’t wait to see how Tony would react to the “blockbuster twist.”
“Go ahead, read up. Don’t lose my place.”
When Tony’s eyes lit up, Gibbs waved him over to the couch. He had a couple other books he could read anyway.
Forty minutes in, Gibbs quiet night was interrupted by a gasp, followed by a coughing fit. “Got there?” Gibbs asked, giving Tony a teasing grin.
“Tommy…and LJ?” Tony asked, face reddening. “Does McSneaky know?”
“Don’t think so.” Gibbs put his book aside and leaned in. “Ever hear of something called fan fiction?”
Tony shrugged, then nodded.
“There are some people who write stories about them...us. The most popular pairing are Tommy and LJ. Guess they wanted to try it out.”
“Yeah there’s some good…I mean, I’d never read…” The blush deepened and Tony looked away.
“Sure, DiNozzo. Keep reading. It gets better.”
“The story?” Tony looked skeptical.
“The sex scenes, DiNozzo.”
“Wanna act ‘em out?”
“Maybe later.”

Vacation
Tony and Gibbs have kept their relationship secret, but sometimes they just need to get away. It could be a cabin in the mountains or whatever. They don't go together, they each have separate "public" plans.
There was nothing special about place at all. It as far enough away from the cities that nobody spent much time here, even in the heat of summer. But it was private and quiet and that suited his lover his fine.
Tony pulled into the driveway and killed the engine, looking out at the calm water and small strip of sandy beach on the lake. Gibbs had owned this place a long time, and nobody knew about it except him—and Tony.
They’d been given a mandatory five days off, which, with weekends, amounted to nine days away from work. And Tony and Gibbs had taken quick advantage. Gibbs had left the Navy Yard almost immediately, and when Abby’d asked what his plans were, he’d muttered something about camping.
Tony mentioned going to Jersey—Atlantic City, gambling, poker tournaments, girls girls girls. Though McGee had shot him an envious look, nobody had asked to come along, which was his master plan in action.
Gibbs left first, heading out at oh-dark hundred. Tony’d packed, ate breakfast at the diner, and left three hours after Gibbs. That’d give his lover time to stock the shelves of the small house and air out the place.
Tony had arrived just before noon, making excellent time. His bag was pretty empty—a phone and laptop charger, a couple of DVDs, a few changes of clothes, some magazines and books. They had all the comforts of home here—Gibbs’ home anyway. Electricity, a fridge, Internet, and phone service. They’d be clothing optional in the house, and in trunks when they went swimming. It’d be laid back and allow them to de-stress.
“Hey,” Gibbs said as Tony got out of the car. He looked relaxed in cargo shorts and a tee, the weight of the world off his shoulders, his expression relaxed. “Happy vacation.”
“Happy vacation,” Tony echoed. He had all he needed here.
