Preview of Three for the Show (Gibbs/DiNozzo, Tony/OMC, Gibbs/DiNozzo/OMC)
I wanted to share a small snippet of the epic story I’m working on. The commissioner asked for a story where Tony leaves NCIS—and Gibbs—and falls in love with his childhood crush, a movie star.
Tony has been away from NCIS for a long time, but a tragedy brings him face to face with his former coworkers. Tony isn’t quite the same man who left NCIS. Tony’s living hundreds of miles away, isn’t working in law enforcement any more, and he has a partner. A male partner. Nick has been a movie star since the ‘70s, is in his fifties, and is incredibly good looking. He’s also a very unexpected complication for the NCIS team.
This scene picks up in Nick’s point of view. They’re at the hospital with the NCIS folks and he stepped away to get Tony some coffee. Tony was comfortably chatting with Abby when he left. But now…

Nick didn’t know why the sight of the young doctor—Jimmy—and Abby leaving the waiting room caused him to walk faster, but it did, He lengthened his strides, pulling away from Ducky as the other man broke off to hand his drinks over. Why had they left Tony alone?
A sense of foreboding ran through Nick, and he tried to calm whatever instinct was rising up. It was the middle of the night and he’d had a long day, he reasoned as he hurried down the corridor. He tucked Tony’s coffee into the crook of his arm and opened the door, stepping a pace into the room, his eyes riveted on Tony.
A man on crutches was standing only a pace or two away from Tony, the stranger’s bearing somehow proud despite his injury. And Tony was standing there with his eyes slightly downcast, clearly deferring to the other man. The stranger was incredibly handsome, maybe a dozen or so years Nick’s junior. Nick felt his cock twitching as he looked over the other man, and starting to harden as the scent of male arousal hit him full force. His hands tightened on the cup and he had to work to keep himself under control.
Tony looked up, his eyes wild and panicked, as he saw Nick, a shudder running through him. The other man turned to meet his eyes as well and he saw the stranger’s expression go from fierce, to surprised, and back to fierce again in the blink of an eye.
“Coffee,” Nick said, trying to hold onto his self control. He glanced down Tony’s body and saw just how hard his lover was, and he wanted to strike out against this other man. How dare he—or anyone—have that kind of hold on Tony?
“Nick,” Tony said, shaking himself out of whatever haze he’d been in. He took the coffee from Nick, and Nick barely held his emotions and sense of possessiveness back. He wanted to wrap Tony in an embrace, wanted to announce to the world—or at least this guy—that Tony was his.
Instead, he held on to his civility, looking at the other man. Sexual arousal poured off him as well and Nick could see the hardness tenting the hospital scrubs that seemed slightly too small over powerful shoulders.
“Just the way you like it.” Nick hadn’t meant to make it sound so challenging, but as the words escaped, he couldn’t stop them, and he wasn’t sure he wanted to. He inserted himself between Tony and the other man, expertly cutting off their access to each other. This close, the sexual tension between them was almost a living thing, twisting and turning, hovering in the air around them. And as much as it pissed him off, Nick couldn’t deny how hard he was getting.
“Nick London,” he said, summoning calm to the surface. “You’re Gibbs, I presume?” Without waiting for an answer or a reaction, he reached for the man’s hand and shook it, Nick’s grip crushing. Gibbs pulled his hand back and gripped the padded area of his crutches, glaring at Nick, hostility in his every move.
“DiNozzo, why’d ya bring a washed up movie star here?”
Nick glared, his body stiffening. He drew himself up, standing tall and staring down at the other man. “I’m here,” he retorted, his own voice as firm and commanding as Gibbs’. “Because my partner needs my support.”
“Partner?” Gibbs replied, his eyes narrowing, his nostrils flaring. Nick hoped Gibbs could smell his own scent rather than Tony’s. He had no right or hold to Tony’s scent—or any other part of him. He’d given up that right.
“Partner,” Nick said, feeling as if he was a little more even keeled now. “Lover, boyfriend, whatever the hell you want to call it. I’m here to support Tony and you’ll just have to deal with it.”
“The hell I will!” Gibbs spun around with a lot more poise than Nick would have expected and crutched his way out of the room.
“Well, that went well,” Tony muttered.
