May unwritten MEME post--prompts complete!

Well, even though I didn't do a stellar job on April's post, I do tend to fill these, even if they are late, so here's a May post. I have vague hopes that despite a crazy month, I can do some writing. Make sure to track the post to get the updates, as I tend to do these in chunks ;)

I'm keeping all the April entries in their own entry, so shoot me new prompts. I'm taking only 10 this month, max 2 per person.

Tell me a story I haven’t written, and I will give you 1-3 sentences from or about it. Or, knowing me, a few paragraphs, a page, or a promise of a much longer fic Lol!

I'm taking 10 prompts for now. Anything prompted in the previous post is a bonus. This will be a link to the master post. Blue entries are complete. Black still pending :) Prompts are now closed.

A few rules.

I'll write NCIS, CSINY (first 3 seasons only), It Takes a Thief, Chicago Hope, light crossovers with various shows/book series (send me a PM or just prompt and I'll yea or nay ya), original fic.

No rape fic, no child abuse, no promptor insertion fics, no overt abuse by hero character. No sequels to other people's stories. No sneak peeks of commissioned fics. No duplicate or very similar prompts. No characters having sexual and/or romantic bonds with anyone under 18. No RPF/RPS.

Please make sure prompts are simple and easy to meet in a few hundred words. If your prompt is a paragraph or more longer, or has many plot points, it isn't likely to be able to be met in this format.

Het, gen, slash prompts welcome. AU, paranormal welcome. Just please no Tony/Ziva, Stella/Mac, Danny/Lindsay, or Gibbs/Jenny. These aren't pairings I'm able to write. Please no wildly OOC prompts. No pregnancy or MPREG prompts, no crossdressing.

If a prompt isn't working for me and/or blocks me, I reserve the right to ask you for a substitute prompt.

Prompt away!

1. Nibble for [livejournal.com profile] gibbsgirlabby Gibbs/DINozzo

Gibbs/Tony and vampires gibbsgirlabby

2. Long Distance for [livejournal.com profile] tejas Gibbs/DiNozzo

Tony/Gibbs Between S5 and S6 - Long distance relationships suck.

3.Playing with Fire for [livejournal.com profile] tejas Gibbs/DiNozzo FRM

Tony/Gibbs Pre-series (but after canon first meeting) - First time.

4. Tale of Two Thieves for [livejournal.com profile] sinfulslasher Gibbs/DiNozzo, slight Xover with White Collar

We all know that Senior really is Alexander Mundy. Or had been in his former life. ;) Which is why he still likes to scam people. Or, ya know, is...inventive in his business endeavors. Whatever. He's trying to be a good, upstanding citizen, especially now that he's working on his relationship with his son. But there's still that itch, that one final heist he never managed to accomplish, most notably because it's a two-man job.

Cue Neal Caffrey entering the scene of brilliant con artists. Senior is positive that they're meant to pull off one major heist, finds Caffrey and convinces him to work with Senior on this one job. (The chance of working with the legendary Alexander Mundy is enough to entice Neal, for sure!)

Will they be successful? Will they get caught? What will Tony (and Gibbs and/or Peter) say/do?

5. Showing for [livejournal.com profile] cin1101 Gibbs/DiNozzo

Gibbs needs Tony to show him how deep his love is - fluff/smut, romance, angst... whichever works best for you :)

6. Princeling for [livejournal.com profile] kaylashay81 Gibbs/DiNozzo pre-slash AU

Once upon a time, there a prince named Anthony who got everything he wanted. But one day, he learned he wanted Gibbs, Captain of the Guard, and the captain didn't give in the way everyone else in his life had. So Anthony set out to learn the way into Gibbs' bed and eventually his heart.

7. A Bet for [livejournal.com profile] sasha1600 Gibbs/DiNozzo

Gibbs showing off at a shooting game at the state fair.

8. Before the Movie for [livejournal.com profile] mundygd Can be read as gen or G/D

More from the story where Tony meets his movie star idol.

9. Second Time for [livejournal.com profile] mundygd Gen or G/D suggested

More from the story where Tony helps Gibbs and the lady in the car accident. Can you show them meeting again?

These two moved to my August list and will be in the August prompts!

Bonus: Oh! I was talking to an non-LJ friend (Rebecca) just a bit ago and she asked me to give you a prompt. If you need to kill one of mine (or delay it til next month) to work this in, that's fine.

Gibbs/Tony Gibbs and Tony find a young man (could be upwards of 30 - your choice) who's being held prisoner somewhere. He's addicted to drugs, but has never been a user before this. The young man is either Senior's son (Tony's half-brother) or Gibbs' son. Tony and Gibbs help him through the aftermath.

Reciprocal bonus for Hawk_soaring, who added a bonus for me last month when I missed her post. Oh-kay... *rubs hands together* *G* ... Sugar Daddy Gibbs and Rent Boy Tony. Gibbs pulls Tony off the streets and "keeps" him. Anyway you want to interpret that. :)

Bonus b-day for [livejournal.com profile] sunsaralyn Fire Inside Gibbs/DiNozzo

Princeling

[identity profile] taylorgibbs.livejournal.com 2012-07-29 02:09 am (UTC)(link)
Anthony, Prince of New Rome, stared out into space, sighing. He, his contingent of men, and his father, the King, were on a fortnight flight to the realm of Outer Yunjalia, a peace delegation consisting of the two most important men of their realm, some of the finest soldiers, and myriad diplomats and traders. Gaining the favor of the ruling party—not to mention the military—of the Yunjalians was absolutely vital to New Rome.

Government–supported brigands from West Prochley had blocked their trade routes, keeping New Rome lean and hungry. They’d struggled along for a while, but a radical decision had been made. The King’s younger half brother—Donald, called Ducky by the media and their subjects—would stay behind in New Rome while Anthony, his father, the King, and the others appealed to the Yunjalians.

Anthony had been chosen because he had “the knack.” Advisors had argued his inclusion, led by the infuriatingly stubborn Captain of the Guard, a man with a flinty-eyed stare called Gibbs. He’d taken over when Mike Franks had been slain in an assassination attempt.

But “the knack” was an important and vital quality. Anthony always got his way—no negotiation was beyond his charms and his easy negotiating skills. And they would have to rely on him if they had a chance of succeeding.

But Anthony wanted something that was proving hard to secure. He’d been fixated by Gibbs for years, admiring the other man’s muscular form from afar, stroking himself to blistering climax in the night, with the man’s name spilling from his lips.

And Gibbs, well, he didn’t seem interested in the least.

Anthony had tried everything short of a Royal order to garner the man’s attention, and Gibbs seemed unmoved. Anthony had flirted, cajoled, even brushed against Gibbs in the narrow corridors of the ship, but the other man didn’t so much as react. He’d even brewed the man’s favorite drink, the rare Earthen coffee, just as Gibbs liked it.

“Thanks, Princeling,” Gibbs had replied.

Princeling? As if Anthony was some soft-cheeked child instead of a grown man, military service behind him. Where was the Royal respect? In his grandfather’s day, even Captain of the Guard would have been whipped for such impertinence.

Anthony watched as Gibbs spoke with one of his most senior men—Fornell. They were just far enough down the corridor that Anthony was comforted by the rumble of Gibbs’ voice, the spice of his shaving soap hanging heavy in the air. His back was to Anthony, the tight military pants hugging his ass. Damn, he had great musculature, Anthony thought, his own body beginning to rise, thoughts of them tangling in the sheets driving his sudden need higher.

Anthony couldn’t hide the small sound of need he emitted, and when Gibbs turned around, Anthony knew he was flushing, every bit of Royal restraint fleeing him.

“Need something, Princeling?”

“N-no.”

“Well, when you figure it out, let me know. Let’s leave Princeling to his…devices,” Gibbs said to Fornell. As Anthony struggled to find the right thing to say, Gibbs gave him a smirk and sauntered away down the corridor, moving swiftly until he was out of Anthony’s sight. Fornell turned around to give Anthony a fleeting smile, then he, too, was gone.

“Yes, I need you,” Anthony managed to say when the other man had turned a corner. Why was it so hard to speak when Gibbs was around. The gift of speech was something that came so easily to him, but with Gibbs he was a stammering loon.

Perhaps Princeling was indeed a name that suited him.

“What are you going to do about it, Sir?” another voice asked at Anthony’s elbow. He turned to see the sympathetic green eyes of his chief advisor, Timothy McGee. Though he’d tried to hide his feelings for Gibbs from everyone, Timothy and James Palmer, Anthony’s other chief advisor, seemed to know all.

“I don’t know. Will you help me win him over?”

“If he is who you want, Sir.”

“He is.”

“Very well, then. Let’s work on a plan. Gibbs will be yours for the taking when we’re done. He doesn’t stand a chance with the combined efforts of you, me and James, Sir.”

“I hope not.”

Before the Movie

8. mundygd More from the story where Tony meets his movie star idol.

Sequel to http://taylorgibbs.livejournal.com/100688.html?thread=1016656#t1016656

Tony ate his soup as quickly as he dared, trying to ignore the congestion in his chest. Company was coming—but who? Had he dreamed Brooks Graham’s appearance. Had he fever hallucinated the entire thing?

Tony looked at Gibbs, accepting a piece of bread and chewing thoughtfully. Gibbs was stirring a glass of light liquid—maybe ginger ale? Tony’s nose wrinkled. He hated the stuff—it reminded him of his mother’s illness. Ginger ale had been one of the only things to calm her stomach.

Gibbs offered the glass and Tony stared at it for a moment before sipping the liquid. “Its good.”

“Dominion has ginger ale now. And root beer.” Dominion was their favorite local brew and they didn’t disappoint with their soft drinks either.

“Who is company?” he asked. He’d eaten all of Gibbs’ soup and bread, was almost done with the sofa and he figured he deserved to be thrown a bone.

“Ducky.”

Ducky? That was unexpected.

“Anyone else?”

“You’ll see.”

Tony couldn’t hide his smile at that. Maybe he hadn’t dreamed it all.

Ducky came, bearing antibiotics. They were treating this like more than a cold apparently, but Tony didn’t complain. He’d bide his time until…

“Get some rest, Tony.” Gibbs’ voice was soft and soothing and Tony’s eyes drifted shut.

“But Brooks…”

“Brooks will be here later. I promise.” Gibbs’ whisper was soft in his ear, and Tony floated away, content in the knowledge that Gibbs wouldn’t let him down.

9. mundygd More from the story where Tony helps Gibbs and the lady in the car accident. Can you show them meeting again?

Sequel to Good Cop: http://taylorgibbs.livejournal.com/100688.html?view=1008720#t1008720

Clearly quite AU

June, 1999

Tony looked at the card the man had given him all those years ago. He’d kept it in his wallet all these years, had even photocopied it and kept it with his important papers. And in the five years since he’d met the man, Tony’d learned a lot about Gibbs, NCIS. The good and the bad.

Gibbs was a top-notch NCIS agent, but his personal life was a train wreck. His first wife and daughter had been murdered. His second wife—Susan—had lost their baby a few weeks after the car crash in Long Island. He’d married another time, but that marriage had gone downhill too.

Tony wondered if Gibbs ever remembered him, and how he’d feel knowing that Gibbs’d had an impact on his life. Just after the accident, Tony had quit his internship and had ended up in the police academy. He’d gotten a great offer from Peoria, but Prince George’s County, MD was a bit of a rougher area, and Tony felt he might be able to make a difference there.

Two and a half years later, he wondered what the point of it all was. Too many assaults, rapes, murders had stained Tony’s soul. He needed something to sustain him—he needed a boost.

It hadn’t been too hard to find out where Gibbs lived—just the other side of Alexandria from Tony. He wasn’t too proud to admit he’d driven by Gibbs’ place more than a dozen times, taking in the battered pickup truck that always sat alone in the driveway.

Tony tucked the card away, grabbing his keys and ignoring the sheaf of papers he’d printed up, his resignation notice. He was no longer effective at his job, and he needed a change.

Tony drove the short distance to a diner halfway between his house and Gibbs’ and killed the engine. Gibbs was here, all right, sitting at the counter, flirting with a woman. His hair looked as if it had been shot through with silver strands, and Tony tried to swallow down a rush of desire that threatened to crush him. How he felt about Gibbs wasn’t as important as how the man felt about him.

Tony cleared his throat as he entered the diner, and Gibbs and the waitress—the only people there—turned to look at him. Tony’s steps slowed, his entire body coiled, the hope that Gibbs remembered him suffusing him.

“Gibbs?” he asked, his voice shaking.

“Who’s ask—” Gibbs stopped himself there, standing and looking into Tony’s eyes. “The guy in Long Island,” he finished with a nod.

Tony started to extend a hand, but it was sweaty and he had the idea Gibbs wouldn’t be impressed. And he had to impress Gibbs, had to work with the man who had inspired him in a moment in time to work in law enforcement.

“Yeah, I…”

Gibbs’ mouth opened and closed a few times, but then he nodded. “Thanks.”

“Thanks?”

“What you did.” Gibbs broke his gaze then and Tony shrugged.

“It wasn’t much.”

“Was plenty,” Gibbs corrected, his voice firm. “Coffee, the way the kid likes it,” he told the waitress.

“Why ya here?” he added, startling Tony.

This was it, the moment. “Special Agent Gibbs, I want to work for you. I know you’re the best, and I want to work with the best.”

Gibbs arched a brow, but Tony was astute enough to see the slightest hint of color on his face.

“What do I need with a businessman?”

“I’m not a businessman anymore. I’m in law enforcement, with Prince George’s County. Made detective. But I want more.”

“More?” Gibbs smirked. “You’ll get more with me, Anthony DiNozzo.”

Tony blinked rapidly—how did Gibbs know his name? “I’m just that good,” Gibbs said, in answer to Tony’s unspoken question. “Drink your coffee, get something to eat—on me. Then you come with me to the Navy Yard. Personnel. Then we talk.”

It couldn’t be that easy, could it?

“Really?”

“Yeah, really. Saved my life once. Good to have ya on my six again.”
